Children struggle…
Children need structure.
We know that when children struggle in school, it may be due to a lack of structure in their home environment. It’s like we are asking them to live and function in two very different worlds. For this reason (and that it is pedagogically sound) the lesson plan format in The M.Y. Time Program has structure with a logical flow and purposeful sequencing. Children need the security of what is coming next, especially children who have experienced trauma. In a discussion with an elementary principal he shared, “All children are now considered children of trauma as they have lived (and are living with) through a pandemic.”
We need mindfulness, mindful movement and yoga as a tool to support the development of our children. Come train with us and learn more about meeting the basic needs of children through the implementation of The M.Y. Time Program.
