The M.Y. Time Program

Learning the M.Y. (Mindfulness & Yoga) Time Program helps children put their nervous systems into a place of better balance. We need to teach children what to do when they are experiencing emotions that get in the way of building long lasting relationships and completing tasks. Let this program show you the way.

  • What is the M.Y. Time Program?

✓ comprehensive, practical mindfulness and movement based program that strengthens social and emotional learning (SEL)

✓ developed for use with elementary aged students (5-12)

✓ designed by a 30 year elementary classroom educator with 14 years teaching mindfulness and yoga to children and adults

✓ contains 40 lesson plans - mini, full, and thematic

✓ offers 134 components to customize lessons

✓ integrates language arts and math with mindfulness/movement

✓ contains reproducible instructor resource cards

✓ provides management tips and ways to modify/extend learning activities

  • Why is a mindfulness and yoga program needed?

Children need instruction and support to:

✓ build social and self regulation skills

✓ increase physical strength and flexibility

✓ learn ways to improve focus and concentration

✓ participate in noncompetitive experiences that set the stage for learning

✓ foster self compassion and compassion for others

  • How can this kind of instruction be delivered?

With this training, M.Y. Time Program instructor’s guide, and instructional video libraries you will feel empowered and inspired to begin offering these strategies to children in your care. With only 10-15 minutes of daily instruction, children can receive the many lasting benefits of a mindfulness based movement program supporting SEL.

  • Who is this program for?

Children are the most likely recipients of the positive effects of this instruction but adults facilitating the program also benefit. Imagine being more calm and ready to begin your work with children each day? What if you could look through a lens that enables you to seek greater understanding and compassion for your students? Thinking with greater clarity and a mindset of curiosity will naturally begin to refresh your perspective. Join us in this mission and be part of a team of dedicated professionals who are positively impacting children.
